1787 Georgivs Machin's Mills 1/2P, NGC MS62 BN, Vlack 18-87C, W-7930
A very pleasing, real Unc Machin's, and very scarce as such. An original, as-made planchet "clip" (more accurately, an incomplete planchet error) is seen, but it affects nothing of significance. The surfaces are amazingly smooth and choice, there is soft luster, and the color is a lovely, rich, very consistent dark chocolate. A finer, more pleasing type coin would be extremely hard to find. This one, from the Eric P. Newman Collection, appears to be at keast as nice, and you gotta love the color of it, but the price is a bit of a buzz-kill...https://coins.ha.com/itm/colonials/1787-1-2-p-georgivs-iii-machin-s-mills-halfpenny-vlack-20-87c-w-7950-r7-ms62-brown-ngc/a/1260-15043.s?hdnJumpToLot=1&x=0&y=0.
