Simply a lovely coin. Original, smooth, chocolate brown and charming in every way. There are singular, dull, old contact marks on either side, in the field below the chin and on C of CENT, but everything else about this coin is fabulous. This is the first S.4 Periods Chain I've ever owned, and what a great coin it is! In recent times, the only example I can find offered at public auction that is close is this XF40 in 2019:
The coin I am offering is much more appealing in color and surface quality.
