1804 JR-2 R5 14 Stars Reverse Draped Bust Dime PCGS VF35
A wonderfully pleasing example of this very rare issue. The James Stack example, and the only PCGS VF35. In fact, there are only 2 PCGS examples in all VF grades combined (the other being a VF20) and only 2 XF's as well, one each 40 and 45. A PCGS F15 sold very recently for $24,000, and it appears to be a damaged coin to my eyes (https://coins.ha.com/itm/a/1271-3350.s). Two other examples were sold by Heritage recently, an NGC 15 and a NGC 20, both of which appear to have excess scratches, dings and marks. This coin is remarkably problem free and very attractive. Note that there are only 3 CAC examples in all grades combined, an 8, a 45 and a 58. While this coin did not sticker, it seems to be well above the quality of most others out there.
