1809 O.112 R5- Capped Bust Half Dollar PCGS AU50
Likely in the Condition Census, and thus a very important coin. The strike is excellent, being fuller and bolder than all but one of these I've seen over the years. The obverse strike is basically full...which is unheard of, and the reverse at least hints at all of the eagle's wing and neck feathers...again, not something that is typically seen. Actual soft luster peeks through the antique, deep golden gray toning. Minimal, unobtrusive marks from very short term handling are widely scattered, but there is nothing of concern here. A newly discovered, very pleasing, rare coin.
