CAC approved. Original, appealing and with great original toning and too much luster for a mere 30, but the truly important thing here is the die state. But...does anybody care? This is the earliest example of the 102 die pair that I've seen in more than 30 years of hunting. There is no hint of a die crack at the base of the date, heading towards the left stars. Virtually all of these have some evidence of that crack. As well, 102's tend to show weakness in the central portions, centered on the chin and upper left (eagle's right) wing. Here, we see the upper wing a tad on the soft side, but the chin is as bold as I can recall seeing...or even hearing about.
