1813 O.107' Capped Bust Half Dollar PCGS AU50+ CAC, superb quality
CAC approved. Wow! This coin is simple...simply exceptional! It truly is a magnificent, totally intact coin that has never been messed with. And - frankly - it has also been awarded the lowest conceivable grade. There are plenty of Bust halves in AU55 holders - and stickered too! - that are not as sweet as this coin. On top of everything else, this is a rare die state too...the earliest known state (called Prime) of this obverse die, which is generally seen cracked and broken in the extreme. This is Die State 107.1, per the BHNC's new die state handbook, "Die State Progressions of the Capped Bust Half Dollar Die Varieties 1807-1836", which is a very modest cost item, available right here on our website.
