1818 N.6 '1/2' Coronet Head Cent PCGS VF25, ex. Anderson Dupont / Starr

A lovely, glossy chocolate cent with a great pedigree - it was lot 561 in Stack's Anderson DuPont sale of September 1954 (selling for $8), and then it was part of Lot 1585 in Stack's December 1984 offering of the Floyd Starr Large cents, part 2. We bought it from the heir of the collector who bought it in 1984, so from Sept 1954 until about 3 months ago, a period of 67 years, this coin has only sold 3 times. With the lot insert from Dec 1984, and a hand written collector's tag noting both sales.
