A very interesting, quite beautiful coin. It isn't perfect, though what's imperfect about it is mostly cool! Here we have a magnificent, totally original coin with a scrumptious, antique golden gray and slightly iridescent patina. There is copious luster lurking beneath, and the surfaces are about as clean as you can imagine...for about 98.6% of the coin. On the reverse, above the scroll, things get interesting. There is a fairly large struck-through below S OF. At first glance, it looks like damage, but it isn't. However, directly below that is some damage...a small gouge and a long, thin scratch...almost as if somebody tried to pry something that was adhered to the coin out! Like this was struck-through a scrap of something, and it stayed with the coin. That's the best I can make of what I see. Odd. Interesting. Call it what you will, but the coin is amazing.
