CAC approved. The confluence of events required to find a rare Overton variety that displays a truly ancient, magnificent, gray-dirt patina is mind boggling. Yet...here is just such a coin. Yes, the chin and neck area show several small, old marks that we wish weren't there, but they are. The overwhelming rule for me though, is originality trumps small marks. Always has, always will, I suspect. Your sensibilities may well be different, and that's dandy. But to me, back in my collecting days, this would be my 26-115...hard stop.
