Hard to imagine a finer provenance than Eliasberg and Link.  This was lot 1869 in the Eliasberg sale (Bowers and Merena, April 1997), where offered - raw and conservatively graded, as all the coins were - as MS64.  The pedigree goes back even further...from George W. Rice to J. M. Clapp, then to John H. Clapp, then en masse to Eliasberg in 1942.  A truly lovely coin, really without fault.  The reverse is a bit more lively than the classic, stately, Gray Dirt obverse, but the luster is everywhere, and it is absolutely complete.  The strike, surface quality and originality are exceptional.
