1833 O.115 R5 Capped Bust Half Dollar PCGS XF45 (CAC)
CAC approved. Here is an incredibly tough coin to find in Choice XF, completely original and CAC approved! The quality, originality and eye appeal are outstanding, though the reverse may be just a tiny bit too crusty for some of you. But...good luck finding another such coin! A quick review of auction records shows that a total of 3 CAC approved examples have sold, going all the way back to August 2004...nearly 18.5 years. A VF20 and two XF45's (this exact coin in 2010 at Heritage brought $5463, and it's been in an advanced, Midwest collection since). Here is a serious opportunity to acquire a really choice "supplement" coin (this variety was discovered by Don Frederick after Al Overton's death, thus it was first published in a BHNC Supplement to Overton)...serious collectors take note...and action!
