From the EJ Collection, part 2. As many of you will recall, the EJ Collection was assembled by a very patient, careful, knowledgeable collector who is still active, but beginning to whittle down his holdings. The coins are uniformly magnificent in terms of the primary factors that are important to him - surface quality, originality and eye appeal. This coin - in spite of the fact that CAC didn't appreciate its excellence (a situation that I'm struggling to understand...and I'm not there yet) - is just such a coin. It is absolutely original, wonderfully preserved, retains rich, soft luster, superb, medium chocolate color and nearly mark-free surfaces. The eye appeal is outstanding.
