1840-O WB-9 Large O Baseball Crack Reverse Liberty Seated Half Dollar PCGS VF35
This is an intermediate die state, struck before all the cracks had fully developed. But, most of the cracks are here and are clear. The die state is probably very rare, estimated by Bill Bugert as R6. This variety is probably as tough as the more famous 1841-O BB crack reverse, but it gets less attention. That’s interesting, since it also has the re-engraved dentils obverse. The coin is original, problem-free and very pleasing.
