I'm stumped. To be perfectly honest, this coin did not CAC and I have no earthly idea why. To think the coin doesn't rise to the level of 61 is literally impossible. This coin is nicer in terms of surface quality than many in 63 holders. So, that can't be it. To think the coin isn't original or has been cleaned is literally impossible. There is full, blazing luster and there are no hairlines of any significance. So that can't be it. Perhaps CAC thought this coin was a proof? Nah...can't be. The coin is darn well-struck and has a good bit of PL flash, but that's not unusual for these. It doesn't "read" proof, and it has the recut base of 1 seen on Business strikes, so that can't be it. As I said, I'm stumped. This coin should have gotten a Gold CAC sticker, and instead, it got nothing. Good thing that the coin is the coin, regardless of packaging or other ornamentation.
