1886 $5 Liberty Head Half Eagle First Gen ANACS Cache MS60, I grade PQ++

Contained in the earliest generation of Cache holder I'm aware of, and graded...conservatively in the extreme. Also, a "better" date, not in the sense that it is rare or very expensive, but in the sense that the mintage is significantly less than many of it's cousins from both Philly and San Fran in the 1880's. That, and I don't see too many of this date. In 64 and better, this is a rarity, but up to about MS63, they are around. I grade this coin 63, and it is incredibly fresh, deeply lustrous, shows bits of PL flash, and displays wonderful, completely original harvest gold color.
