I assume the R aspect of the RB designation has faded a bit over the years. It is still evident, but likely not in the proportion that would qualify for RB these days (of course, a coin has to be about 80% Red these days, it seems to me, to be designated RB). Still, the color offered here is lovely, with a reasonable amount of red clinging to devices, and the whole benefiting from a slight bit of iridescence. The really important thing here is the coin's quality. The coin is a no-doubt-about-it, super-solid gem in every way. No spots, no notable marks, no distractions, and luster a mile deep.
