1919 Standing Liberty Quarter ANACS AU58 FH, we grade AU63!
This is a fabulous coin. With that out of the way, is it in our preferred holder? No. Is it even correctly graded? Well, that is a longer answer. Whenever someone asks me my opinion on a grade, I always ask if they want my grade or what I expect a grading service to assign? In this case, I fully expect P or N to grade this coin Unc...very likely 63. At least, that is the historic norm that we've all come to expect. Is the coin free of all friction, rub or high point wear? No. Does it actually appear to be Unc at first (and pretty much at second) glance? Yes. Does it present like a Choice Unc? Absolutely. This is a long way around to say that present market and grading conditions do not encourage me to get this coin in some other holder...even if I hope (darn near expect) it will come back as a higher grade. Here it is...enjoy.
