1803 C.3 Draped Bust Half Cent PCGS VF30 PQ, Manley 5.0

A truly lovely, original coin...though CAC chose not to sticker. Why? Well, there are a couple of contact marks that show fairly prominently on the obverse, and a somewhat less than full strike, as you can see. But, the rich chocolate color, the clearly XF-level luster, and the otherwise baby's-bottom smooth surfaces have to carry significant weight. They sure do with me, and I suspect they will do so with you. In fact, I bought the coin raw as XF, and fully expected it to grade XF. When it didn't (after 4+ months), I thought CAC would help make up that ground, at least a bit. So this is an interesting situation...hard fail - twice - and I still see the coin exactly as I did, and love it!
