CAC approved, and contained in a Gen 3.1 Green label Holder, made from March 1993 thru Sep 1998. The coin is beautiful, original and magnificently toned in antique gold, with soft luster peeking thru. The strike is bold and the coin is without faults. Plus...it is the earliest die state known (called a Prime), without die cracks. This variety typically comes with a substantial die crack thru the left stars, and here, there is no sign of such a crack. Esoteric you say? Probably so, but someone wants and/or needs this die state, for sure. I've been focused on Bust halves by die variety and die state since 1984, and this is only the second one of these I've owned, and the finest by far. From the incomparable collection of Dr. Charles Link.
