1810 O.101a Capped Bust Half Dollar CACG XF45+
CAC Grading. Quite honestly, the pictures and the holder probably tell you all you need to know about this stunning coin...which was in my Box of 20 for the past few years in a PCGS XF45 CAC holder. I sent it among my first submissions to CACG, since I liked it better than XF45. They liked it a little bit better too, but make no mistake - this is a coin generally found in a PCGS or NGC AU53 holder. Whatever. The grade is secondary to the quality, which is superb. Or better. This is Die State 101.8, per the BHNC's new die state handbook, "Die State Progressions of the Capped Bust Half Dollar Die Varieties 1807-1836", which is a very modest cost item, available right here on our website.
