1816 N.2 Coronet Head Cent PCGS MS63 BN CAC
CAC approved. Pretty much a Wow coin for the date. For the type, an 1817 or 18 will do just fine, but for a date set, or a little more of a challenge in type, here is a fabulous opportunity. Thanks to the Randall Hoard, there are examples of these dates available, but roughly half the number of MS 1816's have been graded as compared to those later dates. And, this is the first year of the type as well. There is a fair bit of original mint color remaining, the surfaces are very smooth, display deep, rich, full luster and only minimal marks. Spots are few, tiny and not in the least distracting. This coin's eye appeal is outstanding. Check some of the sale records of these in RB, and I think you'll find that this coin has virtually as much red as those do...more in one or two cases!
