1817 O.110a Capped Bust Half Dollar PCGS AU50 CAC, LCG...oL
CAC approved. The True View shows the subtle yet magnificent golds, blues and pale greens through the stars and legends much better than our pics do. But even so, you'll be very pleasantly surprised once you get this coin in hand. It is stunning. AU50 is quite honestly a silly grade. I grade it AU53 and would give it at least a + for the WOW! eye appeal. But I would also note that many coins in AU55 holders are not this nice, original, appealing or beautiful. This is an incredibly sweet coin. This is Die State 110.3, per the BHNC's new die state handbook, "Die State Progressions of the Capped Bust Half Dollar Die Varieties 1807-1836", which is a very modest cost item, available right here on our website.
