Leonard Elton Dosier was an early BHNC member, a master Bust half cherry-picker and a true, old-time grader. The term "Dosier 45" was widely used among series specialists to pay homage to his conservatism and to denote a gem, original coin that the grading services would generally grade 53 or 55. Here - though PCGS did not cooperate in this case - is just such a coin. If there is any "problem" with it, it is that the coin is too original! Thus, the crusty, drop-dead gorgeous toning somewhat masks the substantial, soft, satiny luster beneath, but it ain't hidden! One simply has to take a moment - a moment that includes savoring this gem coin - and confirm it is indeed there. I grade the coin AU53...or more properly, Dosier 45! Enjoy.
