1828 13 Stars Classic Head Half Cent PCGS AU55 CAC PQ+

CAC approved. Yes, the obverse is a bit two tone. But it appears to be totally natural, and very interesting, as well as a good bit less stark and much prettier than our pics indicate. Original, strongly lustrous and super smooth.  I expected this coin to grade 58 (and CAC at that grade level), but this is simply another example of what I'm calling PCGS' ongoing tendency to award the LCG...oL. Many of you know what that is, but for those who may not: Lowest Conceivable Grade...or Lower.
