1832 O.101 Large Letters Capped Bust Half Dollar PCGS AU50+ CAC

CAC approved. A pretty darn early die state of this iconic Redbook variety...the only known use of a Large Letter reverse paired with an 1832 obverse. The really strange thing is that all coins struck from this die - at least those found to date - show at least some portion of the die crack under the eagle's wing. This is an early die state to be sure, but it is not the earliest I've seen. The coin itself is about as sweet an AU50+ as you're going to find!
