1833 O.111 R4+ Capped Bust Half Dollar PCGS VF35, ex. Lennie Schramm

This coin wins the daily trifecta. It is my favorite of the late-date die varieties (only R4+ but just try to find an original XF or AU), it is super choice and original, and it was once owned by one of my favorite collectors and friends, Lennie Schramm. Lennie was a true character...a northern Jersey supermarket manager who had no filter at all. But he was a real softy when it came down to it. Lennie died too young, and it's probably been 20 years now. I still miss him and his unique take on things.
