1834 C.1 Classic Head Half Cent NGC MS64 BN

Another stunning coin that CAC declined to sticker. In fairness, this was on an order we got back a couple weeks ago that was the poorest performance at CAC that we have had for years...well below 50% (our lifetime average is approaching 70%, but that one order hit us pretty hard). So, I'm willing to allow that they had a tough day. The only possible objection they could have had here was maybe they thought this was a 63 and not a 64. For the record, I do not agree...this coin has the look, luster, surface quality and eye appeal of a solid 64 all day long. But, I'm reaching for any explanation, and that's what I've got. For date or type, you won't go wrong here. And, someday - if you want to pay the game (sorry...play the game) - you could have this coin in a PC64 with a sticker. Or, you could just enjoy this great coin the way it is.
