1847/6 WB-9 R5 Liberty Seated Half Dollar PCGS VF25 CAC

CAC approved. An early die state example with a very bold overdate...not always the case. The surface quality, originality and eye appeal - the three primary factors I'm concerned with - are each exceptional. The CAC-approved population is very telling...a total of 3 coins wear the Green Bean. One in VG10, one in XF45 and this coin. The XF45 sold in 2019 for $12k (Stack's, 11/19:7222, E. Horatio Morgan collection). That is the only CAC coin I can find at auction. Heritage sold a marky VF35 (non-CAC) in April 2019 for $9000. I feel this wonderfully choice example is priced just right.
