1854 J-161 Pattern cent Original, PCGS PR64 BN CAC

CAC approved. A very cool, very collectable Pattern coin, one with an extremely classical look and great quality. No stars on the obverse is a bold choice, but one that I happen to like a great deal...the simplicity of the design, very much like the 1837 No Stars half dimes and dimes, is really pleasing to my eye. And, the very small lettering on the reverse lends its own regal look. To me, the most interesting patterns are the ones that are very familiar, yet very different...just like this one.
