1861-S B.2/B Liberty Seated Quarter PCGS F12 CAC

CAC approved. There is no such thing as an "easy" Civil War date quarter from the SF mint, and if you combine the further requirements of a fairly affordable grade and CAC approval, then the pool becomes very shallow, very quickly. The last a CAC-approved example in Fine sold at public auction, was...never! A VG10 that rather looks VG8 to me was sold at Heritage this year (and that exact same coin made an appearance in 2017 as well), but that's it folks. The next best comp? A PC 25 CAC sold in 2015. This coin is really nice, free of even modest issues and priced right, I believe.
