1885-CC GSA Morgan Dollar NGC MS63 CAC PQ++
CAC approved. You know what bugs me? The way GSA dollars have been graded by NGC. Historically, they gave the typical GSA dollar a point, thus a decent 63 coin would generally be called a 64. That all changed about 2 years ago. Since, the process seems to take a point, thus the typical, nice 64 has been labeled 63. That's what happened here. And, you'll see it time and again if you look at my other GSA dollars listed on this site. Maybe, as an interested observer, you've even noticed this trend yourself. This coin is very clean for the assigned grade, with the only notable contact clustered on the highest points of the profile. The cheek is smooth. The fields are are super smooth. The coin is totally fresh and displays outstanding eye appeal. It is even semi prooflike and very flashy. Frankly, I was hoping for a gold CAC sticker, but - clearly - that didn't happen either. This is a beautiful, flashy MS64 coin...all day, any day, every day. My hope is to simply grade 'em correctly.
