1899-S Morgan Dollar PCGS AU58

My primary concerns when buying coins are pretty easy to remember. There are 3 factors that are of primary importance to me (yes, I can have 3 primary factors...they all are of equal importance): Surface Quality, Originality and Eye Appeal. These 3 factors make up what I call "quality". One could even devise a Letter Rating System from that data, and I have been known to do exactly that. This coin gets an A-. I know, you're thinking, heck, an A- isn't all that great. Well, not so fast. I've been in coins for 47 years, and I'm known as a pretty good grader with a pretty good eye. I don't throw around the A's. While there is A and A+ available, in practice, I don't use them much at all. I may award an A a handful of times per year, and an A+ I have used perhaps a dozen or so times in 47 years. Make no mistake, my A- is a really, really nice coin! This is a really nice coin.
