1904 Morgan Dollar PCGS AU58 CAC

CAC approved. I bought this coin raw, fully expecting a 62 grade...or even a 63 on a good day. But, PCGS gets only one shot at this anymore, and then I price coins at what I think they're worth.  I used to follow the classic dealer adage, 'send it in until you get the grade you want', which used to work reasonably well.  Now, it really doesn't, so I have stopped trying.  If encouraging multiple submissions of the same coin is actually a part of PCGS' business plan, they've missed an important aspect of making it work: The submitter has to think there is some reasonable chance of success.  I certainly don't feel that way at present.  In any case, this is a wonderfully original, absolutely beautifully toned example with full luster and the look of a very solid, Uncirculated coin.
