Oh how we have tired of playing the grading game! In the "old" days (from roughly 1990 up until about a year ago), we would have sent this coin to PCGS for crossover. And, it would have worked, on the first try. And, we would have gotten the coin back in its shiny new holder in about a month. But we simply have no interest in waiting 2 or 3 months to achieve the same results...and frankly, without adequate confidence that the results would be the same...though they absolutely should be! Note to PCGS: I'll put up with longer turn-around times provided the cost is reasonable and my confidence remains high the results will be correct. If the results are going to be questionable, then the lead times and the cost need to be fast and low respectively. Off my soap box now, but there is a point that applies here: This is a great coin! And - in my not-so-humble opinion - it would easily cross to PCGS at grade, and would be extremely likely to get a CAC sticker after that. But, as noted, getting it in a PCGS holder is not something that interests me at present. CAC is cool, quick and easy to work with, but they don't sticker ANACS coins. A shame, in this case!
