I'm surprised that this coin did not get approved by CAC. I think it is everything you could possibly want at the 63 grade level, if not even a bit more. The strike is really excellent, showing roughly 3/4 head detail and nearly as much in the shield. The surfaces are clean and show only a stray hairline or two, nothing even approaching significant. The luster is complete, even on Liberty's leading leg, and the eye appeal is excellent. There is just a bare hint of original gold hugging the rims, but the overall look is that of a fresh, white coin...this is what I call "original white". I don't know what more could possibly be expected in an MS63.
