1923-S Walking Liberty Half Dollar PCGS AU58 CAC

CAC approved. No PCGS AU58 CAC example has sold at public auction since Sept 2017.  One of the many key and semi-key issues in this challenging series...one of my favorite series, in fact. I love the beauty of the design, and the challenge of finding the coins. In my mind, a gem, original, well struck set grading from XF45 thru AU58 is the perfect collecting goal, and is one that will take you a long time to complete. That is another draw to my ideal Walker set...one could complete a set in G to F at virtually any medium sized show, and completing a set in MS63 to 67 might only take a year or two of auction buys, with the primary barrier being availablity of funds. But, carefully selected 45 to 58 coins are not so easily available. This coin checks every possible box...except if you prefer your coins white. It isn't white...thankfully!
