Yes, this coin could probably be cracked out, dipped and thus become a full-fledged gem in the TPG's eyes. But to what end? A few dollars? Maybe so, but a perfectly lovely, totally original coin would be lost forever. That's not worth a few bucks. We are only temporary care-takers of these objects, and we ought to treat them with respect. Off my soap box now...for a little while!
