(c.1836) Houck's Panacea, HT-143, Baltimore MD on 1786 Mexican 2 Reales NGC G6

In the 2003 edition, Brunk lists 7 Houck's on 2 Reales, not including this example. However, this is the only one I can find a sale record of, and the only specific one I've seen or know of. The host is original and pleasing for the grade, which actually seems quite conservative to me. The C/S is bold, even, clear and very well struck, showing even the ' in HOUCK'S, which is not typically the case. This is among the most widely collected counterstamps, and here on a very unusual host.
