Really a sweet, totally original, exceptionally beautiful gem example, and with a great old envelope that I've never seen before. One really wonders how the Guttag Bros could sell this coin for a profit at .97c, when the issue price was $1 ($1.50 by mail...not sure where they were sold face-to-face). Perhaps the Guttag Bros were an original distributor, and they eventually sold remaining stock at a slight discount!
