1819 O.107(b) R7? Capped Bust Half Dollar PCGS VF25 CAC
CAC approved. This is a very rare, very late die state that has been recently recognized by the Bust Half Nut Club. The club has assigned a provisional rarity rating of R7 (the provisional aspect being noted by the ?, indicating that more study is needed). The critical aspect of the late die state is the existence of new die cracks...first from S13, across curls and cheek to nose, and second from rim above S5 to forehead at eye. Here, both cracks are clearly seen with a 10x glass, but we cannot show them well in photos. Attribution guaranteed unconditionally. Oh...the coin! The coin is stunning for a mid-VF. Totally original, free of any issues and incredibly appealing. There atre even hints of luster in the stars and lettering!
